Migrating 20TB across 43 shared drives with Box Shuttle

Another case from IT Advisory. General level for now, as with the rest of these - more detail later.

The situation

A client had 43 shared drives in Box, holding around 20TB of data including full version history, that needed to move to a new folder structure without losing anything in the process.

What we did

We planned the new root-folder and security-group structure ahead of the move, then migrated everything with Box Shuttle rather than syncing it out to another platform and back.

Impact

All 20TB moved across the 43 shared drives with full version history preserved and permissions intact - no data loss, no re-permissioning after the fact.
