One of the case studies from IT Advisory, the practice I co-run with Jan Bakalar. Kept at a general level for now - a more detailed writeup is on the list for later.
The situation
A cybersecurity company needed to move its Mac fleet, 2,300 endpoints, off JumpCloud and onto Jamf Pro, without disrupting how IT already managed devices day to day.
What we did
We ran it in three phases: a proof-of-concept on a small pilot group (which included piloting Okta Platform SSO), a preparation phase rebuilding policies and enrollment around Jamf Blueprints and Setup Manager, and then a staged rollout across the rest of the fleet.
Where it stands
Preparation ran about five to six months before the fleet-wide rollout started. The migration is live now, running across the full 2,300-device fleet, with identity modernized through Okta as the IdP via Jamf Connect and Platform SSO.
We'll follow up with more detail, and probably a screenshot or two, once the rollout is fully wrapped.
